Just the “basics”?

Basic can be BEAUTIFUL!

See yourself here?

Your love is everywhere here now. In the toilet paper. In the detergent. Even in the underwear.

Friends of New Thing, giving without even being asked, empowered our “Response of the Heart” team to provide basic necessities here.

It’s a shelter for homeless people in the city of Borisov, about 50 miles outside of Minsk.

A hard-worn facility, badly in need of renovations, but still a place of compassion.

The shelter reached out to us because they needed simple essentials: soap, cleaning products...

Nothing very sexy. Just the stuff of life.

They simply couldn’t provide the basics for themselves.

Today, maybe more than ever, some homeless folks in Borisov know they’re not forgotten.

You said “yes,” and gave them a measure of dignity.

God bless all who care, and turn caring into giving.

P.S.: 14 orphans graduated from high school and needed “Life Starter Kits,” with bedding, kitchenware, a laptop, and more.

The first day of school couldn’t wait. So we gave the kids what they needed. But now we need to cover the cost.

We’re thankful for 14 households and groups who’ve given a total of $3,426.35 toward the $14,000 goal.
