Big News at the Children’s Village...

Soft Landing for Sleeper Sofas!

Friends of New Thing gave to provide new sleeper-sofas for the orphans’ homes in Kobryn, Belarus.

We made the goal, and this past week, another 3 of the sofas were delivered.

The ancient, decrepit furniture is being gently retired....

Soon the last the 15 homes at the Children’s Village will have sleeper-sofas.

Finally, when big brother or sister comes home from college on break, they’ll have a comfortable place to sleep, just like all the other members of the family.

Meanwhile, 7 friends have given a total of $749.30 toward our annual Thanksgiving tradition...

Providing medicine-cabinet meds and supplies for the 70+ children with disabilities at the boarding school in Osipovichi.

Thanks to those who’ve given already!

On Thanksgiving Day, I hope I’ll be able to contact director Larisa with the good news that we’ve made the $6000 goal.

As I write these words: $5250.70 to go — an average of $262.53 per day for the next 20 days.

If you can give any gift toward this important project, the caregivers at the boarding school will be grateful!
